We know that the word, “church,” may not spark a lot of good feelings in you. Hey, you may even consider church irrelevant, boring, hypocritical and even segregated.  Believe it or not, I agree with you that it has been and can be unless God intervenes!

Santa Maria Pres is far from a perfect church. Our common ground is our weakness and our yearning for God to work around, in, and through us.  In spite of our weaknesses we’ve discovered the liberating favor of God in Christ Jesus who says His grace is made perfect in our weakness.

So what is SMPC like?
We’re serious about reconciliation - God with us and us with one another.  We feel it is our responsibility and joy to participate in what God's up to around the world and across the street.  Diversity is not just about being politically correct. To us it’s about reflecting the very heart of God.

While you may not be ready to get involved right away, please know that we'd be delighted to have the chance to meet you and serve Christ together. Our culture is not about strong-arming you into a connection with God but about honest conversations concerning our relationship with God, our community with one another, and our responsibility to humbly serve the broken of our world.
